Tips and facts about perfume

Oh my god, it's been a long time since I've updated my blog. I've been busy with school lately. Futhermore, there'll be tests coming up soon so I apologise for the long updated blogpost.

I have an unconditional love for Victoria's Secrets body mist, toilette and perfumes. Probably that is because I've worked there before and to me, the best options of body mist out there comes from Victoria's Secrets. There are tips and facts that I would like to share about body mist/toilette/perfumes and these came from the knowledge I've got while working in Victoria's Secrets. So I'll start off with facts!

FACTS

• How long does your body mist/toilette/perfume lasts?

- Body Mist: 1-2 hours

- Toilette: 4-6 hours

- Perfumes: 6-8 hours 

• Why is it that original bottles are sold cheaper outside than the original shop itself?

- That is because the shop sells fresh ones than the outside shops and this will definitely affect how long the smell can lasts. So, it is better to buy from the original shop itself than buying outside if you're looking for quality over quantity.

• Is it okay to rub the scent after you apply it?

- No, it is not. These fragrances have three notes in it. The base note is the first thing you smell after you spray it which gives off very deep smell. The middle note is the 'heart' of the scent and lastly, the top note is the original smell of the perfume so if you rub the scent after you spray it, it will definitely destroy the notes and you wouldn't be able to smell the true scent of it.

• What are the different kind of scents you can find out there?

- Warm, fruity, fresh, floral and musky. Some scents can combine two elements together like fresh and floral.

TIPS

• Wear your scents on your pulse points and where can you find them? Wrist, neck, cleavage, back of your knees and back of your elbows. This is because the scent will evaporate and your whole body will be able to experience the aroma. It feels like your whole body is surrounded by the scent of the fragrance.
• Add lotion or body butter from your perfume line before applying your fragrance. Why? This is to make your scent last longer and this method is called layering.
• Use body mist as a hair scent spray. Never use toilette or perfumes because they are heavy in content and it will make your hair oily thus body mist is much lighter in a sense and spray it away to make your hair smell nice! 
• Always remember, less is more!
